BASIC TIPS FOR SEXUAL INTERCOURSE

Basic Tips for Sexual Intercourse

If you're thinking of having sexual intercourse, you should familiarize yourself with a few basics first.

Having sex may imply a number of different sexual acts, but it usually means sexual intercourse.

In scientific terms, sexual intercourse (which is also referred to as copulation or coitus) is an act where a male reproductive organ is inserted into the female reproductive tract, either for reproduction or sexual pleasure.

Stages of Sexual Intercourse

Physiological events, which include excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution, sum up the entire act of sexual intercourse.

1 Preparation

Sexual intercourse begins with both man and woman getting sexually excited.

The act to make a man or woman get excited by one another for the sexual pursuit is referred to as foreplay.

Foreplay involves kissing, cuddling, and other sexual acts.

Foreplay is the prelude to penetrative sexual intercourse. Other forms of penetrative sex are oral and anal.

2 Plateau Stage

In the plateau stage, breathing becomes rapid and muscles begin to tense for penetrative sex.

In this stage, the body prepares for sexual activity.

The male sex organ gets an erection and the female sex organ get moist for natural lubrication.

3 Penetration stage

The penetration stage begins when erected male sex organ is inserted into the female sex organ.

Rhythmic moments continue to achieve orgasm.

The vaginal penetrative sex is completed when semen from the male’s reproductive organ is passed into the female’s reproductive tract.

It is also the fertilization process, where semen containing male sperm cells unite/fertilize the female egg.

4 Resolution Stage

The resolution stage is a refractory period of several minutes or a few hours after the penetrative sex, during which a man is incapable to have penetrative sex due to a lack of arousal.

There is no refractory period for a woman, and she can become aroused at any point in the resolution stage.

Prevention

Contraceptives should be used to prevent fertilization of females.

Besides pregnancy, contraceptives such as condoms also protect one from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

How it Works

Any form of penetrative sex should begin with foreplay.

In foreplay, the couple kisses/touch each other to get excited and lubricated for sex.

Foreplay is a pleasurable part of sexual pursuit, which prepares couples for penetrative sex by tensing muscles and increasing heart rate.

A male must have an erect penis and a female's vagina should start releasing fluid to ease insertion.

The glans at the head of the penis enlarges in males, while the outer vagina contracts and the clitoris retract in females.

After insertion, a couple moves together, in a position that they feel is best for them.

Sexual intercourse culminates and completes with an orgasm.

A man or woman might have an orgasm anytime during sexual intercourse.

Once sperm cells are released by a man, the penis loses erection and becomes limp.

SUM UP
Healthy sexual intercourse increases self-esteem, and decreases depression and anxiety, it's natural pain reliever for better sleep.

It is also been noticed that healthy sexual intercourse reduces the risk of heart disease and increases the immune system of the body.
