WHAT MAKES YOU A GROWN-UP PERSON

What makes you a Grown-Up Person

Jennifer was nervous about her upcoming party.

It was her first official function as an adult and she didn't know how she would handle it.

She had always been a little more reserved than her friends, but now that she was an adult and had responsibilities, she found herself more reserved still.

She was worried about what people would think of her and how she would be received.

She had never been so embarrassed in her life.

John was hoping that his problems would just go away.

After all, he had been through so much in his life- his parents were divorced and he was out of home at a young age.

But, things just kept getting worse and worse.

He started to get in trouble with the law, and he was constantly on the run from the people who used to care about him.

He was a mess, and he knew it.

But, he couldn't help but feel like he had to do something to make things better.

He started to try to find a way to make peace with his past, and he started to try to find a way to make peace with his future.

But, things just kept getting worse.

These are a few stories of the problems that grown-up people faced in their life.

What makes you a grown-up person?

Meet and Date

We all face one or another problem in our lives and we handle it in one or another way that makes us develop as grown-up people.

It's not only the age of 18 plus which makes you a grown-up person, it's your confidence, your seriousness about your relationship, financial freedom, and maturity in taking the hard decisions about your life.

What makes you confident?

Confidence is definitely an important personality trait to have.

One of the best steps you can take in developing it is understanding what makes a person confident.

Confidence is an attitude that permits you to have more initiative, take more risks, be more assertive, and feel better about yourself. With a good level of confidence, you can improve most areas of your life.

Psychologists have studied this attitude for decades now and have identified various elements that make you confident.

Here are the most important ones, which you’ll want to know for your personal development:

1. Your genes.

Directly or indirectly, your genes do play a role in determining your level of confidence.

Some people have a genetic predisposition for a wider or higher range of confidence than others.

However, this is only a small part of the equation, although it does matter.

Most of our confidence is acquired and your social conditioning or self-conditioning plays a huge role here.

Thus, you have control over a majority of your self-assurance.

2. Your experience.

People with more experience tend to be more confident than people with less experience.

Having done, seen, and tried a lot of things gives a person the perception that they can deal with whatever life throws at them.

Keep in mind that experience doesn’t mean simply having lived for many years.

It’s what you do in those years that matters, and this is why you want to have a rich, diverse life in which you experience many things.

3. Your competence.

There is a noteworthy correlation between confidence and competence.

The better you become at something and the more aware you are of this, the more assured in that area you will be.

Competence is based on experience, but it is not defined by it.

The most important part is going through a quality learning process. You can grow in months as much as others grow in years by using the best personal development tools.

4. Your thinking.

This is the crucial element.

All your experiences, results, and skills are interpreted by your mind and thus, they influence your level of confidence.

You can have all the results humanly possible, but if your mind does not acknowledge them, you still won’t be confident.

It is your thinking that plays the biggest role in making you confident. And it is in taking conscious control and changing your thinking that lies the secret to mastering any of your attitudes.

Seriousness in relationship

It was a dark and stormy night, and Harry was feeling lonely.

He had been out all day, watching the people around him play, and he was feeling especially down because he had no one to talk to.

He had been trying to find someone to talk to on the phone, but no one was answering.

He was about to give up when he saw a light in the distance.

He started to walk towards it, and as he got closer, he could see that it was a light bulb. He walked up to it and turned it on. It came on automatically, and he saw that it was a lamp. He looked at the light and it was so beautiful.

He started to walk away, but then he saw that the light was coming from a window. He walked over to the window and looked inside.

There was a beautiful woman inside, and she was looking at him with her big, warm eyes. He felt a warmth inside him, and he started to cry.

He knew that he had found his match, and he was excited to be able to have a serious relationship with her.

A serious relationship depends upon your and your partner's commitment to each other.

If you or your partner are going for other casual dating or hookups then you are not in a serious relationship.

Both of you may be serious from starting or after a few months of togetherness.

When both of you accept each other's flaws and are ready to take responsibility for each other then you are in a serious relationship that can be converted to a happily married couple.

Maturity

Charlie was a typical high school student.

She loved going to school, loved her friends, and loved her mom. But one day, something happened that changed all of that. Charlie's mom died.

Charlie was left to deal with her own problems and make decisions on her own.

She was scared, but she also knew that she could handle anything.

She made the right choices and now she's a responsible young adult.

When the time was right, Greta made the decision to end her relationship with her boyfriend.

She knew it was the right thing to do, and she was excited to start over.

She was nervous, but she knew that this was the right thing to do.

From these two examples, you can understand that facing problems, handling the situation, and taking the right decision at right time make you a grown-up mature person.

Maturity is to develop yourself mentally and emotionally.

Financial freedom

For many people, freedom is financial freedom. They can spend what they want and not have to worry about money.

For some, this is a dream come true.

For others, it's a difficult struggle. financial freedom comes with a lot of effort.

Never lose heart and confidence in yourself and keep on doing efforts to gain financial freedom.

Gain Financial Freedom

SUM UP
As we grow up a lot of problems related to mental and physical health, emotions, choosing a partner, and dating arise in our lives.

We also learn to handle these situations with confidence and maturity which makes us grown-up people.
